Nootropics – Piracetam and Choline Part 1…

Nootropics – Piracetam and Choline Part 1…

How to upgrade your brain.

Piracetam

I’ve been taking two Nootropics and cognitive enhancers called Piracetam and Choline for over 6 months now and what I have noticed is a sizable change in my ability to remember and use my memory, pay attention to what is going on around me and in social conversations, to be able to concentrate on advanced tasks at work and also write, increase my intelligence and find new and novel ways to solve problems. Finally, if not most importantly – I have had my motivation for life and the events that life brings in the world around me… All of this from taking Piracetam and Choline

And I do find it curious, that I was going to write a book on cognitive enhances and Nootropics at the beginning of this year (2013) and that, prior to this blog… Events in life happened where I could not write or further publish my empirical findings and experiences on these Nootropics because of my Personal Development moving me into financial education, health and my development as a man in forming relationships.

Considering now that I am starting to work out the more complex and interesting areas of my life, I have allowed life to bring me back to writing on Nootropics in his blog and what I have found is that while I will still be releasing a book on cognitive enhancers and Nootropics – The only difference will be that most of the information in this book, will be a modified version of what is written down here in this blog and the articles it contains in an edited and condensed fashion.

Considering that this is the case, I felt it pertinent for disclosures sake that I admit here that I have no medical degree. What I write here is my own opinion on what Piracetam and Choline have done for me. I also realize that what may work for me may not work for you and this is why I advise that you talk with your medical practitioner, naturopath or similar professional and work out a plan for the administration of this drug if you wish to try it.

The pharmacology of Piracetam and Choline!!!

Piracetam is a drug that…
Choline is a drug that…

* Increases Memory
* Increases Attention
* Increases Concentration
* Increases Intelligence
* Increases Motivation

But what about the pharmacology of Piracetam and Choline – How do they work?

Because I’m lazy, I went to this Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piracetam) page and I found the following:

“Piracetam (sold under many brand names) is a Nootropic in the racetams group… A two-week regimen of Piracetam was reported in 1976 to enhance verbal memory in healthy college students in a double-blind, placebo-controlled study… Piracetam appeared in animal studies to have increased communication between the two hemispheres of the brain and increased activity of the corpus callosum.”

And

“Piracetam increases performance on a variety of cognitive tasks… may reflect its enhancement of cross-hemispheric communication and of cognitive function in general, rather than a specific improvement … Piracetam also seems to inhibit brain damage caused by a variety of factors”

When looking into the effects of Choline, this Wikipedia article says the following:

“Choline is a water-soluble essential nutrient. It is usually grouped within the B-complex vitamins. Choline is the precursor molecule for the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is involved in many functions including memory and muscle control.”

And

“Choline must be consumed through the diet for the body to remain healthy… Choline supplements are often taken as a form of ‘smart drug’ or Nootropic, due to the role the neurotransmitter acetylcholine plays in various cognition systems within the brain. Choline is a chemical precursor or “building block” needed to produce acetylcholine, and research suggests that memory, intelligence, and mood are mediated at least in part by acetylcholine metabolism in the brain.”

Having known now the basic pharmacology and benefits of both Piracetam and Choline, in the next post we will explore the personal benefits I have derived from taking both Nootropics on a constant base for just over 6 months.

Part-Time Income Stratergies – Market Research Part 2

Part-Time Income Stratergies – Market Research Part 2

Market Research

Helping others in the industry help you!

In order to help market research companies with my services, I took the tme out to become a VBP (Very Busy Person) with these companies and made sure that I was paid handsomley with them, so that I could futher my financial, corporate and professional education.

The goal when working with Market Research and Third Party companies was and remains for me to make lots of contacts in this industry so that I could be a person of value to them, inasmuch as they could be people of value to me.

Value, at the end of the day is the name of the game for me in life. Not the type of value which makes you rich, wealthy or whatever but makes you useful to others no matter how deep or shallow that value appears to be. This is why Market Research, via the value it has provided for me – Has helped me to go on holidays, fund private businesses and get my own products and sales into line for registered operation in the marketplace.

The value provided to these services has been more than valuable and like any other sales or self-selling operation, conducting and being apart of market research involves you learning the importnat skills of following up people, companies etc. You have made contact with so that you can better help one another.

Following up a Market Research Company is easy. What I do after applying with a Market Research Company in the Australian Yellow Pages is that I follow them up two to three days later. For instance, if I spent a small part of my weekend, say a Friday or Saturday evening applying for market research before I hit the town, then I always follow up with the market research companies I have applied with on the following Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

I do this either by calling up the company or else calling in to follow up with somone face to face… This allows me to be known as a very important person to the people in these comapnies and because they know my face and they know my attitude, they may also offer me secondary jobs such as writing/recording minutes of the market research group meeting, or being a cameraman.

Most people dont do this when applying for market research or any other area of their lives and are content on sending emails to the companies asking them if they can help them… So let me in on a little secret to any success in your life, commercial, private or otherwise…

DONT SEND EMAILS!!!

Don’t send emails… To anyone, if you can help it. Trust me, I should know. Emails and spam are common events in the postmodern world which people do not pay much attention to, unless they are urgent. This is why I always call someone in a market research or social situation and say “hey I did xyz… How is zyx going?” I never, ever call a company and go “Did you get my email?” – FATAL MISTAKE!

Contact the person or people directly who can get you work in the industry and only ever send an email to them or do an online survey if they ask you to do so. Otherwise go out of your way to be attractive to them! That’s how you win at both market research and in other areas of your life such as Relationship Management, Sales or Seduction!

What I have also found about contact with Market Research groups is that, if they are looking for the right person or new recruits – Will contact you!!! Usually within the same week upon making application with their company. This is why I expect you to check your emails, as they may contact you via email – But what that means is that you both reply to them via email and also give them a call.

The amount of times that I have sent emails and also called has doubled if not tripled my chances of going and getting into a market research group – But that requires you to be savy and learn these skills that I am teaching you here in this blog article. SO here is the next step to being contacted by market research companies…

Always check your spam filter!!!

Always check your email’s spam filter! Once you have done that and called and answered a few questions you should then be able to go into a focus or market research group with other people around you… This is your key to have input in the public operations of companies and to ultimately be paid.

In the next blog article, we will be talking about the  market research group session and how to help market researchers and other participants around you feel comfortable, better acquainted with you whilst also moving towards that ultimate point of being there – Which is to be paid and help companies improve their products!!!

Until then,

The Dog Biscuit Incident!!! – Delaying your Reactions

The Dog Biscuit Incident!!!

Delaying your Reactions Using General Semantics.

General Semantics

The below article is sourced online and has been found on numerous websites… The Article discusses the concept that a “Word” or “Label” used to describe something such as an object in the “Real/Physical” world around us, is not the “Thing” it attempts to describe.

An example of this concept, that a word is not a thing it attempts to describe is to look at an object on the ground or at a cliff-face before you and attempt to label it as something. For instance, you could label or call this particular object a “Rock” or a “Boulder”… And most people due to both their limited vocabulary and laziness would call such an object either one of these labels and stop there.

But what about people who have a larger vocabulary or who have been trained in General Semantics. What would they label this particular object we are looking at in question? Perhaps they would give, or attach to it a series of multiple labels and multiple meanings associated with these labels. For instance they may call this object a clump of “Dirt” or a cluster of “Clay”.

How do these distinct labels change the meaning of the object you are looking at and studying?

This is one of those good questions leads us into the concept of framing and re-framing in Neuro-linguistic Programming and is also one of the key concepts in General Semantics where you relate the difference between a “Subject” and “Object” and your ability as a man or a women (Labels of their own) to identify what is known as your Semantic-Reactions to these labelled objects you are observing.

A Semantic-Reaction could be anything which you consider Culturally/Sociologically, Psychologically, Pathologically, Hypnotically or Heuristically significant. When I use the word, significant what I am also saying is that this “significance” causes a unique and interesting emotional response in your organism to the words of which I am using to describe something to you.

Words such as:

* SEX
* WAR
* RELIGION
* POLITICS
* RAPE
* FREEDOM
* TERROR

And similar words cause an almost culturally hypnotic symposium of emotions inside of the human being and are at the core of post World War 2 propaganda in order to drive you towards consumption of material goods, to defend your nation state, to open a bank account, to create a family and to support a rigid power structure in the course and psycho-social dynamics of the past, present and future-history in the development of humanity.

Some Anthropologists, Linguistics, Psychologists and Political researchers have known about this for some time and have written extensively about it in their life’s work but it was perhaps the Polish Jew and Aristocrat Count. Alfred Korzybski and his works on General Semantics which have discussed this the most.

Korzybski and others have demonstrated the difference between subject and object in their work and it was this particular frame-of-reference, gloss or what is known in the harder sciences as a Model of the World which would later shape the development of 20th Century Linguistics and the development of NLP. Throughout Korzybki’s work there are few famous instances as the one I will quote below, where he taught about the element of Semantic-Reactions and their effect upon human beings as an organism in the world around us, so we read:

One day, Korzybski was giving a lecture to a group of students, and he interrupted the lesson suddenly in order to retrieve a packet of biscuits, wrapped in white paper, from his briefcase. He muttered that he just had to eat something, and he asked the students on the seats in the front row if they would also like a biscuit.

A few students took a biscuit. “Nice biscuit, don’t you think,” said Korzybski, while he took a second one.

The students were chewing vigorously. Then he tore the white paper from the biscuits, in order to reveal the original packaging.

On it was a big picture of a dog’s head and the words “Dog Cookies.” The students looked at the package, and were shocked. Two of them wanted to vomit, put their hands in front of their mouths, and ran out of the lecture hall to the toilet. “You see,” Korzybski remarked, “I have just demonstrated that people don’t just eat food, but also words, and that the taste of the former is often outdone by the taste of the latter.”

What Korzybksi was demonstrating in the above story is so true in how many if not most of us interact with the world. Each of us have cultural and subcultural/counter-cultural reactions and biases to certain words. These biases cause each of us to react emotive or to have a reaction to the words which are semantic around us.

An exercise for each of us to try every day is to learn what types of words set us off and cause each of us to react in a distinct way to the world in which we inhabit. Understanding that words are not the things in which they attempt to describe is unique and key to your survival as a human being and so over the next few months and years I will be blogging here to further describe examples to you about how to separate the meaning of something and the responses that you have to this meaning.

Until then,

Part-Time Income Stratergies – Market Research Part 1

Part-Time Income Strategies – Market Research Part 1

Market Research

The ins and outs of Market Research you need in order to help companies help you.

Have you ever wanted free drinks, free coffee, cigarettes or food? Have you ever wanted to shape or mold a corporation or government institution bottom up? Perhaps even wanted to make some extra money to help you pay the bills or go on that holiday?

If so, then market research is for you. I’ve been doing market research on and off for the last few years and have found it to be a lucrative enterprise which has paid me many more dividends then just cash.

When I was going to university, was between employment and thinking about my next series of business opportunities… I was going to market research sessions. I originally found out about market research by accident through an acquaintance I did some work for and he referred me to a contact in the Market Research Industry. From this contact, I found out how to prospect myself in the Market Research Industry and to start generating the cash that I wanted to generate from my input into both business and social change in society.

Below, I am going to list some of the step to finding and making contact with a Market Research company and how to make sure that you are kept in life for current and future Market Research opportunities.

Steps to finding a Market Research Company and Market Research Opportunities…

I found after becoming comfortable doing work for a few market research companies that I could better help people with my services indirectly and so went online and entered in the following THREE MAGIC KEYWORDS… These Magic Keywords were “market research”, “mystery shopping” and “focus groups” into the Australian Yellow Pages.

TIP: If you live outside of Australia, then use your local Yellow Pages or similar online phone directory.

From the Australian Yellow Pages, I found a series of market research groups which were offering their services to the public and I applied for them… Applying for market research means that you get into contact with them and fill out their contact and sign up forms via a registration page.

After you have registered with a Market Research company you need to follow them up. Doing a follow up of Market Research companies reminds them both that you exist as a Commercial Entity and that you are keen to help them. The result of this is being in regular contact with one or many Market Research and third party companies which will pay your for their time, in order to help them prosper and flourish as a business model.

Market research helped me to keep busy in my evenings, with a schedule that allowed me to be paid money, without having to work a part time job which allowed me to get through my education throughout the day with little to no fuss.

Tomorrow, I will talk more about how to follow up with a Market Research Company and how to get into discussion groups whilst behaving and not drawing too much attention to yourself.

Part-Time Quick Cash-Flow Ideas Part 1

Part-Time Quick Cash-Flow Ideas – How to Increase your Active Income!

Cash

I’ll be blogging about ways to make extra-active income over the next few weeks.

Making an income is easy, having the mindset and attitude that you can make a part-time or full time income is hard. I should know. There have been numerous times in my life where I have been gainfully unemployed and have had to rely on the Australian domestic government for help and welfare.

Did I enjoy this process? Not really, because while I might hate receiving a benefit from the government which I feel I may or may not have rightfully earned, I never stopped working hard on myself and my mental attitude in order to get and receive better outcomes for myself and those around me in my life.

What I learned from working hard on myself and my mental attitude was a little secret and this little secret was… When you work harder on yourself, than you do on your job… Expect big and better things to happen.

Expect Big Things to Happen!!!

Expect big things to happen when you have a change of mental attitude, especially when it comes to finances and wealth. Expect big things to happen both for yourself and for those who are in your life, especially those who you  are currently leading as a leader. I got a lot of skills when I worked hard on myself and who I was while I was looking for a job and what I found was that working hard on improving yourself is what gets your through the demoralizing process of not being able to work and also in the unfortunate circumstance of not living up to others high expectations of you.

When you don’t have any money or two cents to rub next to your name, it’s hard enough to struggle and to survive, but it is also just as hard if not more so to handle others around you who see you as a social parasite or leach.

The type of “leach” who is working hard, very hard on themselves to make sure that they do not make the same mistake again which caused them to be unemployed in the first place.

It is my belief that each of us learn by our mistakes. We learn from our mistakes the way Thomas Edison learned from his, when he invented the light bulb and similar to the way a man or woman who invented the steel capped boot must have also learned from their mistakes when they kept hitting their feet often. When I did classical vocal training as a teenager so that I could be singer, I found that I had to learn from my mistakes and to calibrate my voice. I found often in order to become a better singer around others, I had to do things which were counter-intuitive to me, such as making what I thought was my voice sound less acoustic and more boring.

Yet, this counter-intuition or what I now call Calibration was what made me sing better and win awards at both my high school and independent competitions. I learned in a similar way, how to calibrate and do what was counter-intuitive to me throughout my experiences of being unemployed, or “between jobs” in my early 20’s and because of this, I also learned how to think quickly on my feet, and quite quickly at that.

There may be some people who, after reading this may, even after being dutifully employed for two years, building a part-time business and doing university part time still think that my efforts are the efforts of a “dole bludger” (Australian slang for welfare recipient…) But their attitude doesn’t bother me… I’ve learned and I have grown through my adversity and adverse circumstances and I have become a better human being because of them.

To put my attitude into perspective, prior to being unemployed I was over-employed. What this means was that from early-2007 until mid-2008 I was working 90 hour weeks when I was a 21 year old boy. At that time I was a sales representative for a pharmaceutical and health company while also having my own business, a joint Australian-Chinese software training company for middle managers.

This was a fun and fast-paced lifestyle for me and it gave me the mission, the money and the drive/desire to succeed that I needed. But… In June 2008 just two weeks after I was made redundant from my job, my business folded due to the 2008 financial crisis… It was at that point that I decided to start my degree in psychology, now ongoing and focus on quick and effective ways of making a part time income around what I was doing.

A part time income which would not slow me down, help me pay for my most basic needs and get me out of debt. When I learned that there were easy ways to make quick, effective part-time income, I also learned about how to increase my financial intelligence and this led me back into the workforce so that I could maximize my active income and start to look at other, more long-term passive income streams which would move me towards financial safety, financial independence and ultimately financial freedom.

Because of my development in how I learned to make some fast, quick and easy cash I will over the next few posts be focusing on how best to generate quick, effective and easy ways of creating a part time income, starting with my favorite – Market research and discussion groups. Until the next post on ways to create quick part-time cash flows,

Benefits of Bicarbonate Soda Part 3!

Benefits of Bicarbonate Soda!

https://i0.wp.com/littlegreenblog.com/wp-content/uploads/nice-wooden-bowl-full-of-bicarbonate-of-soda.jpg

Cleaning your Bathroom and Kitchen with Bicarbonate Soda!

I then spent some time learning about the household uses of bicarbonate soda. What I found was that it’s use as a traditional cleaning agent was superior and much more ecologically friendly than that of more modern cleaning agents which were and are designed to clean the household/home.

I found that cleaning my kitchen top, stove and other implements including knives and forks gave them a silky and shiny issue. This silky effect would, in the long-term prevent or slowdown their rust, unlike the synthetic and trashy household cleaning agents otherwise used to clean to clean them.

I also found after cleaning my kitchen utensils with Bicarbonate soda that there were no chemical residues were left over and that some of my conditions including seasonal asthma and hay-fever improved drastically. This has happened with a few of my friends, who following my lead took to cleaning their houses up with Bicarb soda, many of their conditions and allergies went away leading me to conclude like Sherry Roders does in her book Detoxify or die:

Detox

That most autoimmune diseases and reactions occur in our lives not because of our natural environments but rather because of the toxic chemicals and residues absorbed by each of us and our bodies.

In the bathroom too, I took the logical conclusion that most of the mold/fungus on  the walls, painted ceiling etc. could be treated the way I treated my body with fungus’s. Thus I began to clean and treat these areas with bicarbonate soda. This caused most if not all of the mold/fungus’s to fall away quickly with a singular topical application, which when repeated would cause the paint on the ceiling and the tiles thus affected to return to their original colors and appear as if almost newly purchased.

This impressed me so much that I began to apply bicarbonate soda to some rusted areas of old chairs which I was restoring (one of my part-time quick cash flow ideas I will be blogging about in a few weeks) and I found that most if not all of the rust came off some of the old chairs and tables. After washing and then sanding back these chairs, I would use filler, plaster and a new coat of paint and these particular items would then be ready for re-sale at a second hand furniture shop which gave me some quick $$$.

In one of the rental units I was living at, I found that I had bed bug and and similar pest problems and what I found was that if I cleaned the nests of the bedbugs with bicarbonate soda that I did not need to bomb my room or house. I also found that if I sprayed bicarbonate soda out of a mist/hairspray bottle in all of the cupboards where I had cockroach problems once a month that I was never bothered by them again.

So, ultimately what I have found at the conclusions of these three posts on bicarbonate soda is that like uses of hemp, nicotine and natural sea salt that this is one of the substances given to men and woman around the world from nature or god in order to improve and clean our environments. Given that Bicarbonate Soda does clean and improve your environments, making them much more natural I would say that the next time you consider cleaning your house… That perhaps it is best to reach for the bicarbonate soda and use that instead of using more expensive, toxic and less useful cleaning products.

Until next time,

Count. Daniel John Fogarty @ reallifedevelopment.me on Thursday 19th of December 2013.

The Benefits of Bicarbonate Soda Part 2!

The Benefits of Bicarbonate Soda

https://i0.wp.com/littlegreenblog.com/wp-content/uploads/nice-wooden-bowl-full-of-bicarbonate-of-soda.jpg

Washing and brushing your teeth with bicarbonate soda in order to improve health.

Since I have been drinking bicarbonate soda I have also come to some other realisations which have helped me improve my dental and physical hygiene in such a way which does not cause any detriment to my internal or external organs.

I first started doing research in brushing my teeth with bicarbonate soda and what I found was that most plaque on the human body is acidic and is designed to breakdown bones and teeth which are naturally alkaline into their base products of lime, calcium and similar trace elements and compounds. What bicarbonate soda does to this plaque and tartar is to break it down and slow down its development in the human mouth and body by alkalising all acidic materials and thereby making the opportunity for their function moot.In fact bicarbonate soda does to plaque what plaque does to teeth and isn’t that ironic???

Authors Note: arthritis and osteoporosis could be connected to the amount of plaque and similar acidic conditions in the human body… Just a speculation for maintenance and cure of the human body.

But the uses of bicarbonate soda on the human body does not just stop with topical application to human teeth… I have found that washing in bicarbonate soda has been a strange and wonderful blessing for me, as I have found with more time and research that many of the chemicals in the environment around us today and in our soaps, shampoos and body lotions are toxic chemicals. These toxic Chemicals put pressure on our livers, adrenals, kidneys and whole lymphatic system. Such a stress on our lymphatic systems lead to disease and is it any wonder, that deodorants when used long term not only block our lymphs with the aluminum in them, but that they also cause you to smell with all the weird and unnatural substances within them, an effect on our human bodies when we use cleaning “soaps” regularly… Think about it!

When I first started to wash my hair in bicarbonate soda, I found that it not only cleaned my hair like an expensive shampoo would, but that it would also condition my hair making it feel silky and smooth. A two in one conditioner, with better more natural cleaning properties,  at a third of the price. Another benefit I found with Bicarbonate soda when washing my hair was that it would remove excess body oils, dead skin and bacteria without drying out my skin.

When washing my skin and the rest of my body with bicarbonate soda I found also that it would leave me feeling fresh. My face, arms, legs and other areas of my body would be clean allowing me to look hydrated like I had been in a sauna. This Sauna like effect, was immediately noticeable on my skin and it would on occasion produce rashes and cause a sense of itchiness to occur around certain areas of my body. At first I thought this was due to bicarbonate soda being abrasive but then I found out through alternative cancer treatments that bicarbonate soda is a natural fungicide that wipes away much yeast and similar infections. Bicarbonate soda does this in such a way which is quick and makes sure with repeated treatment that any form of fungus or excessive yeast does not come back.

Topically used I found out that some calluses on my skin skin, in particular my arms, hands and legs would start to disappear if I used bicarbonate soda on them. These calluses were hard and when I would topically apply a rich amount of bicarbonate soda to them, they would begin to breakdown and rub off. The skin which would replace these calluses would be silky smooth and soft to the touch. What this means to me is that most skin problems are most probably due to bacterial and fungus like infections due to an unnatural acidity on the human body and more natural, alkalising  and organic cleaning agents such as bicarbonate soda are remedies for this.

Ultimately when I found the beneficial effects on my human body from bicarbonate soda to be excellent, I then took their use to the cleaning of my household and home and boy oh boy what an excellent exercise that has been. We will talk about this particular subject in our next blog article.

Until then,

The benefits of bicarbonate Soda Part 1!

The benefits of bicarbonate soda.

https://i0.wp.com/littlegreenblog.com/wp-content/uploads/nice-wooden-bowl-full-of-bicarbonate-of-soda.jpg

What does bicarbonate soda do for your health?

I’ve been using bicarbonate soda for 5 years and I have to say – WHAT A GREAT SUBSTANCE. I’ve used bicarbonate soda to improve my health via alkalisation, to clean my body and to clean my house and bathroom.

In fact I have been so impressed with bicarbonate soda that I’ve used it in three main areas of my life, which means you get three blog articles on bicarbonate soda and how it can help you increase your health. Three of these articles on bicarbonate soda are:

1. Drinking bicarbonate soda in order to alkalise your body.

2. Washing and brushing your teeth with bicarbonate soda in order to improve health.

3. Cleaning your bathroom and kitchen with bicarbonate soda in order to improve quality and shine of all household products.

Let’s look at how each of these uses of bicarbonate soda can be used to improve the quality of your life starting with the use of bicarbonate soda to alkalise your body.

1. Drinking bicarbonate soda in order to alkalise your body.

Today’s environment is so heavily full of toxins that I could not help but notice that most of the water supply including distilled water is heavily acidic. This is why I have found that a teaspoon of bicarbonate soda in my water not only makes the water taste better (when you get used to it), but will also make regular acidic tap water eventually taste “Yuck”.

Getting over the yuckies with bicarbonate water means that your body is alkalising. When I first started to take bicarbonate soda the water tasted yucky, but now that I take it regularly as a supplement I have found out that most of your body is alkalised salty water. The myth that the human body is 90% water is just that, it is a myth because your human body is over 90% salt water, or reddish salty water due to both copper and iron in your blood. Other than that, your blood bears no difference to sea water and/or chlorophyll.

Drinking bicarbonate soda and having real sea and tissue salts actually lowers blood pressure (it is a myth that salt increases blood pressure, unless you have a heap of it – raw unrefined sugar is the real culprit for the rise in blood pressure) and supplementing real raw bicarbonate soda into your life will have untold benefits especially in the area of alkalisation where the body goes from being sick and acidic encouraging viruses, anaerobic bacteria (bacteria that does not like oxygen and breeds in non-oxygenated environments) to an environment which encourages oxygen (aerobic) rich body-supportive alkalised bacteria.

When you have an alkalised body you slow down your aging, remove many free radicals which do damage to your body and also encourage more nutrients to be uptaken by your vital organs… This Enhances your overall health. This is why I drink bicarbonate soda and use as many supplements that I can in order to increase my health.

Tomorrow we will look at how washing and brushing your teeth with bicarbonate soda increases your personal hygiene and how this can be of total benefit to your life.

Until then,

What pisses me off about vitamins, minerals and supplementation!!!

What pisses me off about vitamins, minerals and supplementation!!!

I recently caught up with a friend in my hometown social group while I was unwell and about to head from there to a holiday destination. I was taking at the time a garlic extract and was having 5,000mg of vitamin C every 2hours without having the need to rush to the toilet (my body was absorbing it). As I was doing so a friend of a friend asked me what I was doing and I explained to them that high doses of vitamin C and garlic can actually aid in restoration of your health when your immunological system is low.

This particular individual then went out of their way to chastise me and say “ohhh your one of those expensive urine people who thinks that supplements actually do something”. Being socially pleasant (I wanted to rip into the person actually) I said, “ohhh tell me, what makes you say that” and then the person began to talk for the next 20 minutes about how supplements of all sorts are “crap and are a money making machine for vitamin companies” (this same individual thinks that fluoride is good for your teeth and bones).

Smiling I said “so do you have any evidence for this? Say like medical journal articles, research and etc?” and the person said “I don’t need any evidence, I just know that people like yourself waste a lot of their money on substances which will do nothing for them”.

Smiling, I went into google scholar and within 5 minutes had 60 journal articles from many different institutions, magazines, journals, research institutions and even from the UNITED NATIONS about how important it is to consider supplementation for your health and preventative diseases.

When I did this, the person refused to read them saying “I don’t have enough time” and to whence I replied in a NLP reframe, “time for what, your education on your health?”. But I didn’t waste any more of my time and I began to read passages to the person out aloud, going out of my way to emphasise certain points, in certain articles.

The person started to angry at me when I demonstrated that I knew more than what they did on health – Exposing their ignorance (hey sometimes it’s good to argue and get the upper hand). This led them to walking out of the room trying to save face stating “I know I’m right, the articles don’t mean anything and I still think that your wasting your time with vitamins…”

THIS IS WHAT PISSES ME OFF ABOUT SUPPLEMENTATION…

This is what pisses me off the most about supplementation… The fact that some of the best nutrients for human beings are available to each and everyone of us and people still do not take them nor do they realise how powerful and potent these supplements are. Many people, even to this day – “Medical Doctors” consider the rather ignorant and stupid belief that the taking of nutrients makes urine “expensive”

To me, whoever makes such stupid claims about supplementation without first backing up their claims, comes across as incredibly ignorant. They also come across to me as the type of person who, having read the bible and not read any scientific or similar literature – Will make the claim that the earth is just over 6,000 years old.

While I don’t agree with mainstream science on their figures as well (even though the articles are well written and sound), I do not also believe in religions claim about the world and it’s age around us… So why should I ever consider someone else’s claim about supplements, especially vitamin C and garlic being “expensive urine”… But let’s take this one step further for a moment.

Let’s agree with the outlandish claim that supplementation may make expensive urine… Let’s say that the person who stormed out of the room was right… Let’s ask then, why does the urine become expensive??? Could it be that if you have too much of something which the body cannot absorb, it expels it in its waste systems?

Indeed in order for the body to expel whatever it is that it is expelling, it must have absorbed part of it in the first place – This is common sense and simple thinking which does not need to be backed by science. But here is another point, in order for anything to be expelled from the human body, it must first HAVE BEEN READILY ABSORBED BY A PERSON’S DIGESTIVE, IMMUNOLOGICAL AND SIMILAR SYSTEMS.

In other words, nutrients needs to go through many different bodily systems in order to be absorbed and later expelled. But let’s take the bullshit idea of expensive rime one step further…

In an ideal world, with an ideal food supply, poly-cultural farming practices, lack of pollution, fresh air and zero environmental toxins (10,000 years B.C.E. and before) and adequate nutrition – We should not have the need to supplement… We should have expensive urine… But, folks let me give you some honest information – WE DO NOT LIVE IN AN IDEAL WORLD and our urine is highly vitamin and nutrient efficient i.e. has nothing of value within it expelled from the body on an average western diet.

Of course this is not 5-10,000 B.C.E. where the food we would have eaten in these eras was highly full of nutrients. Neither do we live in a world which practices poly-cultural farming or soil/land rotation. In fact we live in a world with 50,000 different types of toxins and we live in a world where we do not have enough nutrients in our food to help us live long and be alive, like in our relatively recent past with our ancestors.  Indeed, we each live in a chemical, biological, electrical and toxicological mix of substances and organisms which given the chance would make us sick or even try to kill us for their benefit. This is why it is exceptionally important to supplement with a balanced diet… I.e. to have expensive urine.

When each of us supplement with a balanced diet, we can then rightfully claim hat our urine is expensive… But we can also claim that it is the type of urine with nutrients which have kept ourselves… ALIVE!

Think about it…

Drinking Green Tea – The benefits and the Bullshit!

Drinking Green Tea – The benefits and the Bullshit!

I went through a phase in 2010 of drinking, tasting and getting to know teas. I drunk everything from apple to rose hip tea. That same year I found out what fluoride does to your teeth, your bones and your brain considering most black teas contain fluoride decided to make the switch.

I also made the switch with green tea from coffee. I was getting the coffee jitters at the time and went cold turkey… Green tea helps you with the transition… TRUST ME… Years later I’m over most teas but will still drink green tea from time to the while on the run with my day job, doing my psychology degree, writing this blog and maintaining an active social life.

When I was out recently, one of my important friends in one of my social circles brought up green tea again. He saw that I was blogging on health and considering that I also gave him a juicer to make juice he was keen on some of the recipes I had published.  When we got talking he didn’t waste any yoke and started down the hard and heavy road on how I should be drinking more green tea with my juices in order for it to be a good compliment to my juices alkalizing potential.

My friend went so far as to mention our last meet up that if I drunk green tea more often that I’d swear by it, like he does too… and I would continue to swear by green tea but I still like my occasional coffee too much! Nonetheless after going into an organic tea shop with him and trying all the different teas there (nostalgia for 2010), my friend settled on… Now wait for it – Organic Green tea. But of course!

Life got busy and we both went our separate ways and two weeks later and out of the blue he called me up on my cell phone to state “Daniel, omg it’s amazing… The organic green tea we both purchased, has actually helped me stay focused at work, but has also helped to detoxify, clean out and and help my digestive system breakdown all the good food I have started eating.”

“Good for you”, I exclaimed to him over the phone, but he continues without missing a beat “it’s been shown that green tea can, not only help boost your immune system, but that it can also fight cancer”. He paused over the phone with me and I felt myself pausing too… To be honest that’s a bold statement just for green tea and I’m likely between you and I, the reader to doubt his statements.

Because, I’ve heard varying things about green tea over time – Such as it’s antioxidant potential to slowdown ageing, the ability for it to detox the liver and to sweat out of the lymph nodes I do have an open mind… But to cure cancer, I was and remain skeptical. My skepticism stops with most organic substances and supplements similar to green tea because I know that most of them direly or indirectly boost the immune system, hell when you get sick and unwell I believe that they can even fight off disease. But for me, his statements about cancer are a bit far out.

Nonetheless I decided to open up my Ipad 4 and write a draft article to be later published on my blog about Green tea, “searching the Internets” for useful and resourceful data about what green tea actually does… And here is what I found out:

1. Lifehack.org – A really cool website on self-development states that green tea aids in the reduction of weight loss and lowers the incidence of type 2 Diabetes.

The reasons given on this and similar websites is that green tea does is thermagetic I.e. It is a substance A which increases the body temperate when someone drinks it or works out with it slightly, thereby burning up more nutrients, more fat and more calories when consumed. The thermagetic effects is also the reason why green tea reduces the incidence of type two diabetes, as it causes the breakdown of sugars, keytones and fats but there has also been research on green tea which has shown that it increases insulin sensitivity and in the uptake of chromium a metal which balances blood sugar levels.

Another interesting aspect of green tea is its nootropic and anti-aging effects.

2. Third age.com another radical website which proposes the effects of green tea on human beings notes on some of its hyperlinks that green tea contains low levels of taurine, cafinene and other substances which actually give it a cognitive enhancer and nootropic like effect similar to ginkgo bibloba. The effects of this mix are somewhat varied, other than increasing blood flow to the human brain and central nervous system they also appear to increase intelligence, the ability to be diligent, focus while maintaining in the person who drinks it a calm and meditative effect.

This particular meditative effect is reminiscent but much more healthy than tobacco or kava and is also one of the reasons why it has been shown to delay or slow human aging, since it provides stress reduction. Other than stress reduction, green tea’s anti-aging effects come from its more exotic antioxidant potential. Antioxidants allow the human body to destroy free radicals and it is free radicals which cause aging in the human body and are a health subject all by themselves.

But what about the negative effects of green tea? Are there any?

No not really other than over-stimulation if you have too much (16 cups of green tea to 3 cups of coffee), if you are stimulated by caffeine and have green tea before bedtime then don’t!!! There is also the negative consideration that green tea like many other teas and coffees is a diuretic and dries out/dehydrates the body if too much of it is consumed.

Given this, it is best said that the only other downside to green tea like garlic is its smell when the lymph nodes are using the green tea to remove toxins from the body. I’ve known many people who come from south east Asia to have had a full meal and drink much green tea after it – To have later smelled not of body odor but rather of sour green tea… Perhaps a pungent and sour smelling green tea smell is not the greatest – Yet, for the woman who I have had the chance and opportunity to kiss after drinking green tea at a meal – There is always the sweet smell of it on their breath.

That’s not a bad thing and green tea is good and healthy. This is why my friend who recommends green tea needs to know that while it may not cure cancer – It will most definitely provide all the other health effects he does claim. Until the next blog post.
